• Sponsored Post: What to Wear to a Christmas Gathering and New Years Eve Party

I’m working with LOFT on a couple holiday fashion posts on a budget. In case you’re a bit confused (I was),  LOFT branched off a few years ago from Ann Taylor to produce a younger, more current brand of clothing and accessories for women, including petites and maternity.  Plus, right now you can get 40% off your entire purchase in stores and online.

Can you believe Christmas is only a few days away? It really crept up on me this year. We are sticking around here but having a few friends over on Christmas Eve Eve and I’ve been thinking about what kind of outfit would be the perfect mix of festivity and style (minus the acrylic Christmas sweater and reindeer headband). We’ll be making a fire in the fireplace, having a simple meal, and sharing our favorite Christmas stories.

The budget LOFT gave me for this outfit was $150. I checked out the brand new store downtown and found so many great pieces to choose from. Here’s what I picked for the Christmas gathering outfit:
Front Pleat Crepe Skirt $69.50 (currently 40% off online!) in red
Layered Stripes Shirt $59.90 (similar to this one online)

The necklace I made (tutorial here) and the gold shoes were thrifted.

I’m also sharing an outfit for a fun, sparkly New Years Eve party!
I’m picturing low lights, a little dancing, bubbly drinks, and lots of crazy hats.

Here’s what I picked out from LOFT with my $150 budget:
Modern Skinny Jeans in Black Wash $59.90 (currently 50% off online!)
Sequin Tee $59.90 (similar to this one online)
Calfskin Magenta Belt $29.99(similar to this one online)

Paired it with some thrifted cobalt heels. Headed to any New Years or Christmas gatherings? What are you thinking of wearing?

Disclosure: I was compensated for my review of LOFT products, although the opinions and writing are mine alone

Very very cute! I had no idea that LOFT had split off, but after checking out their stuff, I adore their sweaters! I'm going to have to check out more of their stuff- they seem to have really frugal options that still look stylish and classy!

Yeah, I'm here to say, the flats you made are by far the best part of the outfit (what kind of flats are they??)… but you look super cute and it's put together so well for the look/style you were going for!!
