• Weekend Roundup

It’s been raining all week here! Surprisingly though, I’ve loved it. The light has been perfect for photos (it’s like living in a soft light box), and both yoga and knitting have seemed even more peaceful with the soft pitter-patter of rain falling outside. I have so many fun projects planned this weekend that we’ll see how much I can actually get done. Plus, I’ve just finished my second stocking and am really excited for a rainy weekend to start on number three.  Do you find rain and/or fog relaxing, or does it put you in a funk?

Have wonderful weekend, Happy St Patty’s Day!

      I always love your links!

Just noticed that the last link (interesting article about the power of social media and youth) is linked to the “10 temporary ways to dress up a rental” page.

Being in the PNW, rain is not a novelty! And having been away from it for ten years, I don’t think I am going to get used to it anytime soon…. But I DO appreciate a sunny day that much more.

Love that your Madewell trench is in the photo…

And on the comparison thing – gah is that a hard one. I think Erin of DFM said don’t compare your beginning with someone else’s middle. Reminding myself of that quote and Ira Glass speaking about the gap between your vision and execution is comforting when I fall into the rut of “comparison-itis”.

I absolutely LOVE the rain when I’m inside working. It’s so relaxing and soothing and makes the inside feel that much cozier. My favourite thing is to wake up and fall asleep to the sound of rain. Thankfully on the west coast we get a lot of rain!

Sometimes a rainy day can be so soothing. Other days pretty depressing. I guess it depends on your mood.

Love those mini instax albums. My daughter saw them and decided she wants an instax camera for her 10th b-day next week. And since we leave on a family vacation to Japan in 10 days I’m thinking it is the perfect gift to buy while we’re there! So in short…thanks for the gift-inspiration!

You always link to such amazing things!

And I love the rain – makes me feel happy and snuggly. My husabnd hates it though. Last summer, when we were having a crazy drought in Texas, it rained after something like 93 days of straight sunshine. My husband said, “I just wish it were sunny today.”
