Summer is the perfect time to host an outdoor movie party! I threw one a couple years ago for my sister as a baby shower (watched the old movie ‘Bringing Up Baby’ of course!). It’s much more fun to enjoy your favorite movie under the stars with friends and surrounded by treats than sitting on your couch. You don’t have to live somewhere warm either! Just load up on blankets for your cozy outdoor movie evening.

What kinds of parties do you like having in the summer?

Every year we host an ice cream social. Guests bring various toppings and we provide cones, bowls and plenty of ice cream.

I have done this a couple of times for my son and his friends. We used a large white sheet, clothes line rope, and tent stakes. We just stretched the sheet between two trees with the rope and anchored it down with the stakes. It worked great and it was a super party!

Awesome ideas. I’ve always wondered how to get a huge screen like that, ideas?

The easiest way is projecting it onto a wall with a white sheet. Jo above had some other ideas too
