Hey friends! I’m traveling up through Northern California this week so I asked some talented ladies to share posts while I’m away. Enjoy! This decorating post today is by Meta of the lovely new blog One More Mushroom.

such great ideas Meta! love them all!
What a lovely space for kids!
I’m REALLY digging the bookshelf – where did you find it?
Love the reading nook. Would love to know about the pirate doll pillow and the other one as well.
Funny you should mention the pirate doll. I made him for my pirate obsessed son. I will be doing a tutorial on him in the next few weeks.
Ohh yes! Reading nooks are a must for both children and adults!
I love the yellow couch, however I could do without the color. Ive been meaning to make time to redo my childs room and this gives me some great ideas.
I absolutely love that couch. I bet it’s comfy and it LOOKS comfy! And it’s a great color, really opens up a room I bet.

Hi Meta, I just found your new site, & I love your bright & colorful style (are you Scandinavian, by chance?).
I think a reading nook is so important for kids. A place that is special, set aside for the joy of books. I’d be interested to see you put together a list of your top 5 children’s books.
Hello Janae! I’m not Scandinavian (I wish), my mother is German but I have a Danish name (long story). Anyway, I have been wanting to do a post on my favorite children’s books. It will be hard to narrow it down to just 5.
