I’m writing from Salt Lake City! We’ve had a such a fun trip so far. The beginning part of this week we were in St George where we did this crazy rappelling in Zion called Pine Creek. I was kind of unprepared for it (swimming in cold water in cutoffs/tank top) but it was pretty incredible. We had several small rappelled through slot canyons down into some frigid water and then one long repel at the end (image above of Jared on that rappel).
This image above is at the top of the last rappel. It was quite a view! We had a big group including two of my sisters in law, Erin and Sara. I don’t think I’ve ever rappelled before. It was really fun but I could have done without that frigid water! We’ve also been doing some rock climbing, drinking lots of milkshakes, playing with cousins, and spending lots of time in the pool. Follow along on our trip via instagram here.
Hope you’re up to something fun this labor day weekend, I can’t believe it’s September tomorrow! Yikes, where did this summer go? Despite what my local grocery store thinks, I’m not ready to start thinking about Halloween and the Holidays.
