This DIY is a great way to get in the Halloween spirit…it’s simple to do, and gives a wonderfully creepy and surprise effect for unsuspecting guests as you ask them to turn on the light for you!
Materials…

- Sheets of printable contact paper
- Printer
- Scissors
All you need to do is download this file, print it onto your contact paper, and cut out the creepy insects.
Then, carefully peel off the backing and stick them to the inside of your lamp-shade. If you want to place the insects exactly right, you can turn on the light before sticking them down, but be very careful as the bulbs get hot very quickly. For extra effect, try bending the legs a little so that not every part of the sticker is touching the lamp-shade.. it makes it seem more realistic!
Then all you need to do is ask an unsuspecting guest to turn on the lamp for you
