We’ve been having a wonderful summery week here on the northern Outer Banks of North Carolina! It poured today (flooding the street), but most of the days have been sunny and hot, which is quite welcome for us since we don’t get much of that in San Francisco. Most our days are spent at the beach riding waves, reading books (I’ve been reading The Paris Wife), building sand castles. Then a rinse in the outdoor shower and straight into the pool and/or hot tub. Lunch follows and maybe some down time for the kids like a movie or reading books on the hammock (we picked some up at the little local library).
In the afternoon we’ll swim again and then head out for a bike ride (we have a co-pilot bike for Henry which he loves- he’s riding above with my mother) to the Whalehouse grounds/lighthouse (above)or the ice cream shop. The evenings are spent bbqing and more swimming/hot tubbing and watching thunderstorms from the porch. It’s been amazing. You can follow along with us on instagram. Hope you’re up to something fun! My internet access is minimal so I’m taking a break from links this Friday but I’ll be back on Monday! Have a wonderful weekend.
