The last three times I have gone shopping I have walked away with something in kelly green. I think its safe to say I have developed quite the crush. Here are a few of my kelly green favorites.

What color are you crushing on this season?
We’ve been visiting in Southern Utah with family and it’s so hot here already that it’s gotten me so excited about summer. Even though we don’t really have a warm summer in San Francisco, I still like to buy a couple fun summer pieces here and there to pair with sweaters and longer pants.
Check out my lists of favorite sandals under $30 here and cute summer dresses under $30 here. What trends are you excited about this summer?

I love this outfit because it combines some of my favorite looks for spring. The floral print (in a short none the less), a light-weight “rorange” top, a chambray pullover and jewelry made with natural materials. Not a bad combination for under $100!

Bright lipstick has been a hot trend for a few seasons now. Up until a couple years ago I rarely wore lipstick and now I wear it when I’m headed anywhere one step up from the grocery store. I’ve learned a few things along the way, would you like to know my favorite lipstick tricks? I’d love to hear yours as well!

1. No Lipstick Marks on Your Glass: Discreetly lick the rim of your glass before sipping. Seriously, try it! It works!
2. Mix Shades: Instead of buying a new lipstick this season, try layering shades you already have. Above I combined coral and red for a dark pink.
Keep reading to all six tricks, including my favorite tip for repairing a broken lipstick (Ugg. Don’t you hate when that happens?)

If color isn’t the norm in your wardrobe then a good way to incorporate this look is to go subtle. Paint your nails, put a little color on your lip, or add a bright belt to your everyday outfit.

Take it up a notch by adding a pop of pink with a bright scarf, a pair of summer sandals, or a new bag. Did you see Liz’s DIY hot pink clutch last week? It would be the perfect piece for this look.

If you want to own this look then go with a statement piece. Like a hot pink dress, pink pants, or a vibrant blouse. Talk about a show stopper.

Some of this seasons hot pink color combinations. My favorite are the chambray and tangerine.
