Have a wonderful weekend, guys.  It’s peak strawberry season so today Henry and I spent the morning made strawberry freezer jam, strawberry butter (above- I shared the recipe on instagram), and plans to make strawberry fruit leather tomorrow morning which I’ll share next week. We also made my grandma’s homemade honey wheat bread as well while singing along to the Sound of Music soundtrack (somehow he’d never been introduced to it!).  I’d love to spend every morning like that with Henry. I’ll be a little sad when he starts kindergarten in the fall and I lose my mornings with him. Hope you’re up to something fun, and happy Mothers Day! Hi friends! This is another shot from the Epic Playdate I posted about yesterday – Henry was obsessed with those huge beach balls all day. I’ll have to order one for the summer. This had been a crazy week- we headed to DisneyLand right after the Hyundai event and it was amazing (check out more on my instagram). Way better now that he’s 5. Last time we went he was 3 and it was still fun but we all enjoyed it more this time and he could hold up all day for the most part. Hope you’re up to something fun! Hi guys! A short note as we’re headed out the door to LA for a Hyundai epic playdate blogger event, which involves glamping with Shelter co., paint fights, group sand art (I’m in charge of this one!) and rocket building on the beach. Then we’re surprising Henry with a trip to DISNEYLAND for a couple days before we return Tuesday (shhhhh he doesn’t know!).

Today is also Jared’s birthday! Last night Henry and I threw him a simple surprise party since we’re traveling today. Henry was sooo excited for it, it was really sweet. We decorate a bit, gave him a couple fun camping things and tickets to a Giants game next week. We finished things off with one of Jared’s favorite treats- key lime pie! Henry is determined he wants a surprise party now for his 6th birthday, he loved planning it.

Throwing a few things in the car right now and headed out the door….have a wonderful weekend, friends.

My sister is coming into town tonight with her two kids and staying all week! Henry made a list of things he wanted to do with his cousins like go to the Santa Cruz boardwalk, eat ice cream, sutro bath caves, go to the beach, play with his new race track, and ‘drink hot chocolate at home’. Tomorrow Jared and Henry are headed up skiing in Tahoe for the day while I get some stuff done around the house. It is so cute to watch Henry zip around on skis (he’s gotten so good!) but I have a lot to do around here so I’m going to stay home. It’ll probably be their last time to ski this season so fingers crossed the weather holds out!

Last week Jared was on a 5 day/ 40 mile backcountry ski trip in the Sierras with my dad and two other friends. The pictures above Jared took from their trip, the first one is my dad in the shot hiking up a sharp tricky part of the Minarets. The second is the morning of day 3. Crazy awesome, right? I love Jared’s adventurous spirit.

According to pinterest + babble, spring and Easter have arrived in full force already but does it feel like spring yet where you live? (I hear New York just had a huge snow storm so maybe not!). Hey guys! Up to anything fun this weekend? Last night while I was making dinner Jared and Henry went to Ocean beach and shot this little video with the new 6D Canon I got for Christmas. Ocean beach is only 2 miles from our house so it’s an easy spot to head to for a sunset walk. I’ve always been more of a mountain girl, but living in San Francisco is slowly changing my mind.
