Today we have the second round of a spin-off from the Sister Style series showcasing one item, worn four ways amongst my lovely sisters and I. This post is sponsored by DownEast Basics who sent us all this fun easy does it skirt from their new spring collection:
You can’t get more comfortable than this cute skirt: generous pockets, lightweight cotton and a forgiving smocked waistband. I have a feeling with warm weather around the corner, it’ll be in high rotation in our summer wardrobes; and so many great ways to wear it! We all had fun trying it out with different outfits.
DownEast Basics has several other great new arrivals like this bow tie top and go figure skirt. Plus, be sure to check out their new swim collection. Really cute pieces! Big thanks to DownEast Basics for sponsoring this post!

You know my hip sister Katrina, she’s part of my sister style series and she’s in a really cool band called Timber! There are lots of college bands, but I actually really enjoy their folky indie music (very Sufjan Stevens sounding) and I think you will too. They’re really good! She does the female vocals and some persuasions as well. Right now they’re raising money on kickstarter to record an album and tour around this summer (coming to San Francisco!). You can listen to a song of theirs here.
1.You help by being a backer here on kickstarter (that means you only have to donate $1 to Timber! but of course you can donate more).
2. Let me know by leaving a comment here or shoot me an email or a tweet, whatever! Let me know
3. I’ll randomly pick one person to make a custom honeysuckle skirt just like this one. PS I can’t promise it will be perfect, but I’ll try my very best! I’m not really a seamstress and I don’t use a pattern!
4. I’ll keep this opportunity open for two weeks until April 25th.
Sound good? Go donate!
I’m starting a fun little spinoff of the sister style series showcasing one item, worn four ways. The first in this series is sponsored by the lovely vintage inspired clothing company, Ruche, who sent us each this violet garland necklace.
Of course I was the only predictably boring one who wore it as it was pictured. Becca and Katrina found cute ways to wear it as a belt and Celeste tied it around like a choker. So hot, right? I love what a versatile accessory it is. How would you wear it?
Thanks to Ruche for sponsoring our first in this series! They have a great selection of stylish clothing and accessories to fill your closet (I’m crushing on this bow of beauty straw hat for beach outings). Be sure to check them out here.
